Built around a mineral spring, Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains first opened its doors to European high society in 1864. The healing waters are still a draw — this luxury hotel now features an ultramodern spa supplied by the natural water source, complete with an elegant indoor pool and a range of saunas and baths — but the lavish hotel feels like a destination in itself. Positioned in the lush alpine setting of St. Moritz, it resembles a grand Italian palazzo with romantic turrets and cheerful blue shutters that match the sky.
