Blackberry Farm
It’s a thoroughly high-end experience, and no room is anything less than luxurious, from the Historic Rooms in the original house to the expansive family-ready cottages. In the interiors Blackberry Farm’s in-house design team strikes a delicate balance between elegance and approachability; the spaces feel true to the estate’s history, but never too precious to touch. Breakfast and lunch are taken in the Main House Dining Room, while the Dogwood serves dinner to hotel guests only. The Barn at Blackberry Farm is the culinary main event, where ingredients from the estate’s sustainable farm and the surrounding region are put to artful use alongside wines from the capacious cellar.
The Wellhouse Spa offers everything from massages and treatments to fitness classes and yoga sessions, and features an adults-only swimming pool to complement the family-friendly Farmside Pool. Farm-focused activities abound as well; the gardens are a perennial attraction, as are the sheep, the donkeys, and the Lagotto Romagnolo truffle dogs. Meanwhile the wild landscapes of the Great Smoky Mountains are perfectly suited for hiking, fly fishing, and too many other outdoor pursuits to name.
