Never one to shy away from the spotlight, the InterContinental brand has chosen, for its location in Fiji, a prominent position on the spectacular white sand beaches of Natadola Bay, just under an hour from Viti Levu’s Nadi International Airport. The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa occupies some 35 acres of verdant waterfront land, and rather than a single central structure, its rooms and suites are arranged village-like in clusters of low buildings, none of them taller than the palm trees that surround them.

The accommodations themselves start out at a princely 678 square feet, with generous balcony lounge space, complete with oversized soaking tubs — open to the air, but screened in for privacy. From there they just get bigger and grander, culminating in the Beachfront View Suites, whose patios lie just yards from the South Pacific.

You can rest assured that the words “golf” and “spa” are in the name for a good reason, and the resort’s dive center is a remarkably full-featured one as well. A handful of restaurants and bars are on hand to provide some culinary variety, from the fine-dining Navo to the casual Sanasana and the laid-back Toba Bar & Grill.
