Only marginally less recognizable than Sydney’s opera house, the W Sydney stands like a rounded shark fin above Darling Harbour — a piece of architecture that lives up to W’s reputation as a visually adventurous hospitality concern. The interiors are colorful even by W standards, and this hotel succeeds where others fail at capturing the brand’s sense of retro-tinged futurism.
