Downtown Camper by Scandic, true to its name, is set right in the heart of Stockholm, and styles itself as a home base for “urban explorers.” Twelve types of accommodations range from economical rooms for solo travelers to grand suites and apartments that accommodate up to 12 guests. The interior design is part rustic, part urban, and as impeccably composed as you’d expect from this Nordic style capital. Rent bikes, kayaks and even skateboards at the front desk, or head upstairs to hang out at the the Nest Cocktail Lounge, a cozy bar with panoramic views of downtown Stockholm — right next door to the Nest Wellness Area, which offers an outdoor pool, a sauna and a gym.
