Both Four Seasons and St. Louis find themselves putting their best feet forward at this surprisingly stylish luxury hotel, many of whose rooms look out over the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River. The hospitality is, as always, highly professional, and while Four Seasons will never be mistaken for an avant-garde boutique-hotel brand, the building’s modern architecture and the contemporary décor inside demonstrate that they’ve been paying attention. An extensive spa and fitness center see to guests’ relaxation needs, and Cinder House features the cooking of James Beard winner Gerard Craft, as well as a bar with an impressive selection of local beers.
