Saint-Tropez may be known for its modernist seaside hotels, but just a few minutes inland from the busy town center is a mansion and a collection of farmhouses promising exquisite tranquility, surrounded by lush gardens: this is La Bastide de Saint-Tropez. It’s a family-owned hotel, but a highly professional one, and it draws an upscale crowd of in-the-know travelers. The rooms, suites, and apartments are classic Provence through and through, in light, sunny tones, furnished with antiques.
