Santa Rosa’s Flamingo Resort wears its mid-century influence on its sleeve — unlike many Sonoma County wine-focused hotels, this one feels more akin to something out of an idealized version of Las Vegas or Palm Springs. Its interiors immerse arriving guests in a Modernist fantasy, helped along by eye-catching contemporary artworks; the rooms, thoroughly renovated, are mid-century in inspiration and totally modern in their comforts. The spa is attached to a capacious fitness center which offers yoga, Pilates, and barre classes, and the famous pool is stil the centerpiece of the 10-acre property. The Lazeaway Club serves pan-Pacific cuisine with inspirations ranging from Mexico to Thailand.
