The “sea” in question at Romantik Hotel Residenz am See is Lake Constance — as seen from the hotel’s location on the edge of Meersburg, a medieval German town on the lake’s north shore. Accommodations and facilities have been designed to capitalise on that panorama with many of the contemporary rooms looking across the lake, some from their own private balconies. The One-MICHELIN-Starred Casala - das Restaurant also comes with a Lake Constance view, and puts its own spin on local cuisine using seasonal ingredients and herbs from the hotel’s own garden.
