On the outskirts of Llucmajor, a few minutes from the Palma airport, is a 15th-century agricultural estate that’s gone the way of so many Mallorcan farmhouses: it’s now a luxury boutique hotel. Son Julia Country House Hotel contains some 32 rooms and suites, which marry antique atmosphere and contemporary design with a pronounced Arab influence. The comforts are lavish, including a substantial spa with a heated indoor swimming pool; two more pools, one adults-only, await outside. Dining and drinking options include Las Bóvedas, with its dining room and terrace, as well as a poolside bar and an indoor cocktail lounge.
