As you might guess from its European name, Villa Palladio Jaipur views Rajasthan through a European lens. It’s the work of an Italian Swiss hotelier and a Dutch designer, a collaboration that has already produced a well-loved local restaurant and bar under the Palladio name. It’s a few minutes outside of Jaipur proper, which lends this nine-room hotel a country-estate atmosphere; within its walls is a hyper-vivid Technicolor fantasy, in the public spaces and especially in the eight rooms and one suite. A pool, spa, library, and garden pavilion are soothing spaces; the restaurant serves Italian and Rajasthani specialties.
