Istanbul is rather famously too large and sprawling to have a single city center, but it’s hard to imagine a much more prominent location than the one enjoyed by Sofitel Istanbul Taksim. It’s set mere meters from the square of the same name, alongside the pedestrianized İstiklal Avenue, and counts as its neighbors not just high-rise structures but ancient churches and Ottoman mansions as well.
