Expectations are low for a hotel near a busy international airport. But Incheon is one of the world’s most futuristic airports, and in nearby Paradise City, it has lodgings and eateries to match. The luxury entertainment complex houses a 711-room resort as well as Art Paradiso, a stylish adults-only boutique hotel that feels something like an ultra-modern, gorgeously illuminated art gallery. The look blends sleek South Korean elements with old-world European grandeur; bejeweled chandeliers sparkle in the hotel’s common spaces, done up in sultry black, red, and gold, while suites are monochromatic with lavish marble bathrooms. The more-is-more aesthetic continues across the lavishly decorated bistro and cocktail bar, a striking spa, and the outdoor swimming pool with partially submerged chaises and two tiers of open-air lounge space.
