The Reverie Saigon proudly calls itself the most spectacularly extravagant hotel in Vietnam, and if anything they’re not giving themselves quite enough credit. A more opulent hotel anywhere would be big news; in Ho Chi Minh City it stands alone, an exemplar of ultra-luxury set atop the 40-story Saigon Times Square skyscraper.
Its style tends toward the traditional, though with the ornament turned up to 11, and with a modern sensibility showing through in its unusually colorful décor. The views of the city and the river from the hotel’s rooms and suites are difficult to match — for the most part, this remains a low-rise city. And while even the humblest king rooms are spacious and luxurious, the apex accommodations are the two-level signature suites, one designed by Provasi and the other by Poltrona Frau.
As for facilities, nothing is left out: wellness offerings include a spa and an outdoor pool, while among the culinary attractions is a One-MICHELIN-Star Cantonese restaurant called Long Trieu.
