Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk isn’t the only Egyptian-themed landmark in Wafi City — see also Wafi Mall and Raffles Dubai — but it might be the most striking, with its skyscraping obelisk form. Inside, however, Sofitel’s flagship Middle Eastern hotel pays homage to French art de vivre rather than ancient Egypt.
