Denver, Colorado has quietly become one of the hippest cities in the American West, and something like the Ramble Hotel only adds to its appeal. Its cast-iron and red-brick façade recalls the fairly recent industrial past of its neighborhood, the River North Arts District, and its interiors, in a slightly more unusual move, recall the salon of Catherine de Vivonne, Marquise de Rambouillet, a 17th-century French patron of the arts.
