The Dakhla Lagoon, on the Atlantic coast of West Africa, is notable as a destination for windsurfing and other water sports. It’s also the site of Caravan by Habitas Dakhla, a sort of seafaring counterpart to the brand’s luxury camp in the Agafay Desert outside of Marrakech. Caravan Dakhla is nothing if not immersive; Habitas aims not only to preserve the natural environment, but to bring guests in close contact with the local culture, and the local culture is present here in every aspect of the experience, from the interior design to the artistic and educational programming.
Its accommodations freely mix classic riad style with modern loft touches like floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the lagoon.
