Like many boutique hotels now scattered across the Greek islands, Tella Terra takes a pared-back approach to design with neutral, muted shades, clean lines, minimalist interiors, and raw, unfinished textures. But it’s as much about sustainability as it is about style, with furnishings crafted by local Cretan artisans, and rooftop gardens sitting above each suite to help naturally control the temperature. Restaurant Anemoia is based around the same ethos, and serves up a seasonal menu of creative plates that put local ingredients at the forefront. In the spa, it's all about relaxing with traditional rather than high-tech methods, such as soaking in the magnesium-rich bath or booking a massage with handmade botanical oils.
