Canmore, Alberta is one of Canada’s great adventure towns, set in the Rockies at the edge of Banff National Park. And Creekside Villa is the sort of hotel you wish every mountain town had: a 12-suite lodge that combines rustic charm and modernist-inspired boutique-hotel design. Loft suites sleep up to four with a pull-out sofa, while the Cougar Creek Suite sleeps two. Devil’s Table, the restaurant, was brought along by the hotel’s owners from their previous home on the island of Bequia, in St. Vincent and Grenadines, and serves a suitably unexpected Caribbean menu.
