Villa-des-Prés is a discreet new arrival in Saint-Germain, housed in a 1911 art nouveau apartment block reimagined as a five-star boutique hotel. Behind the original stonework and wrought-iron balconies, interiors by Bruno Borrione take a contemporary turn, think scalloped wood paneling, clean-lined furniture, and a soft, art deco influence. The 34 rooms, including 14 suites, are unusually spacious for Paris, each with commissioned artwork and mosaic-tiled bathrooms. Top-floor suites offer sweeping views from the Eiffel Tower to Sacré Coeur. There is no restaurant, but a refined bar and excellent breakfasts round out this perfect Left Bank stay.
