The 11 rooms and suites in the old palace offer classic architectural details, but the 55 in the new wing are scarcely less attractive. The hotel’s Mandalay Spa imports Indian and Thai therapies, while the Bistrô Flores and the Bar dos Maias offer a modern haute-cuisine spin on Portuguese traditions.

I loved the hotel bar and restaurant. My room had a fantastic view and the size of the bathroom was very nice. The indoor pool and sauna was very enjoyable. I can't say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. I will definitely be staying there again!
