InterContinental Hua Hin Resort

159 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Lively
While foreign travelers continue to flock to Phuket and Koh Samui, they’re also catching on to a destination Thai vacationers have long known. Hua Hin is no undiscovered hot spot, but a fully established resort city, and many of its best stays are unabashedly large in scale. Among them is the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, a beachside resort in an East-meets-West style whose size, at 159 rooms and suites, makes it very nearly a boutique hotel, by local standards.

Of course InterContinental is no boutique operation. This is highly professional luxury hospitality, with the seamless ease that’s the hallmark of the best high-end resorts. The style is attractive in a maximally palatable way, another InterContinental specialty. The beach is perhaps the most obvious leisure venue, but the hotel backs it up with a substantial spa and wellness center, in addition to a lovely central pool lined with loungers and daybeds. And a multitude of restaurants serve everything from high-end contemporary Thai cuisine to pizzas by the poolside.
