The Hoxton, Poblenou
In its concept, of course, it’s consistent with the rest of the Hoxton family, and that’s a good thing: funky vintage-inspired rooms, a lively location, and plenty of desirable venues for dining and drinking. With 240 rooms it’s by no means small, and in fact there’s space for a whole new room category — the Homey rooms are practically apartments, with kitchenettes, dining tables, and room for up to four guests.
Vibrant public spaces, too, are essential to any of the Hoxton brand’s hotels, and that’s perhaps even more true in Barcelona. Four Corners is, perhaps surprisingly, an Italian-American restaurant, serving Detroit-style pizza alongside more identifiably Mediterranean appetizers and mains; the rooftop, meanwhile, is home to Tope, a Mexican taqueria with a creative cocktail list.

The look/vibe of the hotel doesn’t compare to other Hoxtons such as Paris. It feels a bit generic and boring. However, service is professional and friendly and it’s new so the rooms and common spaces are clean/comfortable.
