This Indonesian expression of the Raffles template works beautifully, in no small part because of the resort’s stunning location on the Bukit Peninsula overlooking Jimbaran Bay — but also due to the thought and care that’s clearly gone into the hotel’s elegant design.

The aesthetic is modern Balinese — high vaulted ceilings, dark wood floors, teak furniture, batik fabrics — and each has a lavishly appointed bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a soaking tub. The three- and four-bedroom villas are incredibly roomy, and a single hilltop villa offers supreme sunset views. Nearby, at the property’s highest point, is the Writers Bar; below, a beachfront infinity pool and an open-air restaurant.
