Liu Men Melaka

Tokong, Street 48 - 56, Malacca City, Malaysia
30 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Quiet
What began as six separate shophouses on Jalan Tokong became a single-family compound after the war, and the owners have recently converted the entire structure into a small hotel. The restoration work kept the original spiral staircase intact and wove together colonial bones, Peranakan decorative elements, and art deco touches across the suites. Rooms vary in their references to Melaka's history, each with distinct tilework and woodwork. The location puts you in the old quarter, close to Jonker Street's antique shops and the network of historic temples. An intimate operation run by the family who lived here, and that personal scale shows.
