Contemporary Classic & Lively
Next to the History and Art Museum in Luxembourg's UNESCO-listed old town, Parc des Beaux-Arts runs out of the Gëlle Klack house, a building whose timber frame dates to 1510, making it the oldest in the city. Suites keep the original stone and wooden panels intact, layered with Murano lighting and Italian furniture. The building's history reads like architectural archaeology: salt merchant's house in the 15th century, baroque windows added in 1736, bay window in the 1890s. It's a hotel that treats its medieval structure as the point, not something to work around.
