ME Lisbon opened as the brand's Portugal debut in a purpose-built tower near Marquês de Pombal. Cultural curator Guta Moura Guedes selected all the art, sculptural ceramics, immersive video installations, from Portuguese artists. The guestrooms feature local touches: Assouline's Lisboa book, handmade ceramics, operable windows. Fismuler restaurant makes its first appearance outside Spain with Nordic-influenced shareable plates and exceptional seafood. Rooftop bar Attiko offers a small pool and near-360-degree city views. Breakfast comes as personalized couverte platters followed by menu selections like Moroccan eggs or French toast.
