What our Inspectors say: A floral display provides pops of colour in this pristine white cube that calls to mind an art gallery. Chef Alain Huang's tasting menus comprise 10-plus creative courses that are French in origin but influenced by Asian cuisines, wine or alcohol-free drinks inclusive. Top-notch ingredients such as king prawn, scallop and veal are meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. Your meal is bookended by stunning amuse-bouches and petit fours.

What our Inspectors say: Perched atop a skyscraper, the restaurant affords panoramic vistas of KL's skyline. Hailing from the southern shores of the Netherlands, it features a nine-course menu that blends French techniques, Nordic sensibility, and Asian twists; seafood and vegetables are the highlights. The carrot dessert is the final bow, imparting depth and sweetness. With a menu spanning 3 hours, it's the perfect setup for a date.

What our Inspectors say: Once a factory, this space furnished in retro industrial style fizzes with energy – not only because of the sizzling charcoal grill in the open kitchen, but also the fun, passionate service team. Chargrilled meats, seafood, and vegetables are the main event; the wild-caught giant shrimps with crispy garlic crumbles and chilli oil are a very popular choice. The warm banana cake with Baileys ice cream presents interesting contrasts in temperature.
