Not far from the Adriatic coast, near the border of Marche and Abruzzo, Relais Villa Corallo is an elegant getaway in a relatively undiscovered section of central Italy. The stately stone mansion was built as a private residence in the mid-19th century, and much of its old-world character remains. The interiors feature original parquet flooring and ornate fireplaces, grand staircases and glittering chandeliers, while the surrounding park, shaded by oak and cypress trees, is laced with paths to explore on foot or bicycle. Suites are all unique, with details like four-poster beds, designer wallpaper, and light-filled marble bathrooms with freestanding tubs. The estate’s organic farm sources most of the ingredients for the hotel’s refined Retrovilla Bistrot — even the olive oil is pressed on site, using olives from the trees by the pool.
