Say what you will about the more business-oriented quarters of the capital, but Dupont Circle is an authentically stimulating neighborhood, full of the signs of everyday life. The 1940s Art Deco building that’s now home to the Lyle is a handsome one, but it’s the interiors that really shine — they’re Deco-influenced as well, but both the public spaces, with their warm tones of wood and leather, and the guest rooms, with their minimalist monochrome style, are uncommonly glamorous. Lyle’s, the restaurant and bar, is a versatile space, serving everything from breakfast to last call.

The intimate location of the Lyle hotel in DuPont circle was charming. We love the neighborhood which felt very residential away from tourism of the capital. An easy Uber away or local subway. Rooms were lovely and minimal. We got a studio with a kitchenette. Very spacious and comfortable with a great, lovely bar and restaurant. The price was very reasonable and I would return to this hotel again happily.
