TIAD stands for Tomorrow Is Another Day, which is a fanciful name but not an unreasonable one for such a forward-looking luxury boutique hotel. Though it’s located in the city center it overlooks the verdant Hisaya Odori Park, which lends it a certain resort atmosphere. The interiors are stylish and modern, in a minimalist vein that’s more soothing than aggressively stark. It’s a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, which signals a certain professionalism in its operation; among its particular charms are a well-equipped spa and gym and a pair of restaurants: the international Table for Tomorrow and the traditional omakase-style Shuhari.
