A stone’s throw from the sea in the Corsican village of Monticello, just outside L’Île-Rousse, Casa Paradisu lives up to its name. The French architect Christophe Pillet designed this modern boutique hotel’s low-rise buildings set amid pretty Mediterranean gardens. Rooms and suites are sophisticated and spare, with floor-to-ceiling windows, bright white walls, and an all-natural color palette; all rooms have private balconies or terraces facing the gardens or the ocean. The stylish restaurant and bar offer seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails, plus terrace seating overlooking a pair of infinity pools that are conveniently heated year-round.
