This pleasantly laid-back and casual establishment occupies a corner plot by the canal-like Suze River at the border between Neustadt-Süd and Neustadt-Nord. Guided by the motto "gemütlich - ehrlich - herzlich" (cosy - honest - cordial), Lokal is a cross between a restaurant and a bar with a relaxed atmosphere; in fine weather, the gorgeous terrace beckons. The cuisine is modern and international, with the focus squarely laid on regional and seasonal ingredients. In addition to the à la carte selection, there is a carte blanche surprise menu comprising four or five courses. Decent wine list, friendly and professional service. You are also welcome to just drop in for a glass of wine, a beer or a cocktail.
