Three miles along the coast from the seaside resort town of L’Île Rousse is Hotel Minera, a small and stylish eight-suite boutique hotel with a spectacular view of the town and its islands, as well as the panoramic Mediterranean seascape. It’s a tranquil escape, and a luxurious one, if closer in intent to a posh residence than to a full-scale resort. Nevertheless, it’s got a swimming pool, a lovely garden, a hammam, and a small spa, and has access to some impressive beaches; despite its address, the village of Monticello proper is a couple of miles inland.
