The Breton seaside town of Carnac is known for its ancient associations; Le Celtique stands on the Avenue des Druides, two streets back from the Grande Plage, which looks across the bay towards the picturesque islands of Houat and Belle-Île-en-Mer. The Art Deco building’s architectural style is complemented by its interiors, which blend rustic seaside style, Deco influences, and contemporary luxury in roughly equal measures. Le Celtique’s spa and wellness center is an impressive one, and makes use of products by the Breton-made brand Phytomer; the hotel’s restaurant, Le Cairn, leans heavily on locally sourced seafood.
