In the city of Besançon a 19th-century cloister has been transformed into Le Sauvage: a lovely boutique hotel, and one whose monastic character lends it a unique personality. The name is a bit of a puzzle, as there’s nothing at all wild about the experience; guests today live in a comfort that the nuns could never have imagined, not only in-room but in the hotel’s spa as well.
