Elea has a Greek soul, which reveals itself in subtle details, from the natural tones of the stylish decor to the lovely olive trees. Chef Takis Panagakis finds inspiration in his roots and brings individuality to classic dishes through Mediterranean finesse. Duck breast cooked pink, for example, is accompanied by a sweet potato dumpling incorporating the leg meat, a refreshing beetroot and kumquat compote, plus a kumquat filled with duck liver for added depth. The chef has a fondness for aromatic accents and vegetables, and the vegetarian options are therefore well worth exploring. Charming hostess Bibi completes the experience with astute wine pairings.
