The kitchen’s inspiration here comes largely from Spain and France, so you can expect to find Fabada Asturiana alongside lobster with sauce Choron. Do start with some crispy snacks to go with a cocktail or manzanilla, like barbajuans or buttermilk fried chicken in pine. The young team run the room – which boasts proper bistro vibes – with calmness and good humour. While the prices don’t quite match the simplicity of the surroundings, it’s worth remembering that The Clove Club are behind this operation and the two share the same high-quality suppliers.
