Don Geppi

This intimate, elegant restaurant has the feel of a beautiful secret garden, thanks to the single large canvas painted by the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples which adorns the walls. The painting completely surrounds the dining room and creates a sense of continuity with the romantic garden outside, where a small pool and organic vegetable plot (the source of many of the ingredients used here) can be seen through the large windows. The cuisine here continues to showcase the typical flavours of the Campania region in dishes which are creative yet not overly excessive, all accompanied by excellent and attentive service. Chef Mario Affinita delights the palate with his exciting cooking methods and light preparation, resulting in dishes such as his surprising “n’uovo”, which despite the name (“uovo” is the Italian for egg) consists of tomato water, scampi and marine plankton – there’s no egg to be seen! The wine list is also worthy of note, offering a good selection from across Europe and even further afield.
