MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The Yoshino hinoki counter is Naoki Okada’s stage. He conveys the richness of Nara food through kaiseki. He uses Yamato vegetables and Miwa somen out of love for his hometown. Anago on top of mochi rice is wrapped in persimmon leaves and steamed, and Yoshino kudzu paste is used to make takiawase. The highlight of the menu is the hassun, with delicacies served on small plates and bowls decorated with seasonal leaves, showcasing the beauty of Japanese cuisine.
