                        ‘A soba shop that makes pottery’ by a chef from an arts university. The interior sports an industrial décor, with pendant lights hanging from a ceiling made of recycled wood; a pottery studio is adjacent. Having majored in interior design, the chef was involved in the restaurant’s design and construction. Earth for the pottery, buckwheat grains for soba: both are kneaded with water, shaped and heat is applied. An unexpected point in common between pottery and food.
