「小さい」という言葉はこのホテルのキーワードのひとつ。客室はたった5室ですが、すべて戸建のスイートで、コガラ湖を見下ろす緑の丘の斜面に隠れるように点在しています。ホテルの中心である水盤のようなプールまで歩いてすぐ。内部は、モダンラグジュアリーとコロニアルスタイルの融合したとてお洒落なインテリアで、特にバスルームは昨今のトレンド通り贅沢な造り。大人専用というコンセプトも手伝って、全体的にひときわプライベートで静かな雰囲気です。
活発な遊びは非常に限られていますが、そもそもここはエスケープのための場所であり、アクセスがそう難しくないことも魅力のひとつ。ドライブがてら海へ出かけるのも楽しいですが、ホテル内で水泳やヨガのほか、小さなフィットネスセンターで汗とストレスを流すという手もあります。タイのエッセンスを取り入れたスリランカ料理で、ますます健康になれそう。

The hotel was very good. The food was not award winning. The staff was okay. We felt the manager/ concierge was less than attentive and forgot our requests twice - and appeared less than sincere or concerned. Our best experience was with our driver, Udaya, who turns out was the groundskeeper as well. He drove us through Galle and was the best ambassador for the brand. He should have a much more senior position within the company. Massages were great. Amenities were fantastic. Almost great.
Both the atmosphere, style and service was great... this is a truly luxurious and very personal experience.
For various reasons, spent my last trip at 5 hotels in the south of Sri Lanka. Kahanda Kanda deserved another star above the rest, including the aman's. Rooms are fantastic, food is fantastic, staff is fantastic. This is a place where I want to live.
