One of a seeminly limitless variety of classic Mallorcan farmhouse hotels, Cas Comte, in the town of Lloseta, proudly displays its 18th-century stone walls and columns, as well as its more contemporary (but stylistically consistent) additions. Guests sleep beneath timbered ceilings, amid furniture crafted in a convincingly historical style; the exceptions are the bathrooms, with their ultra-modern whirlpool tubs. There’s a very modern spa in a similarly antique-style building, and the hotel’s restaurant, Celler Can Carrossa, serves a daily tasting menu crafted by chef Joan Abrines, featuring typical Balearic flavors fashioned into delicately composed modern culinary artworks.
