A contemporary taberna with plenty of personality which has the feel of the “playground” of two big kids, namely Pablo Montero and Alejandro Díaz - two friends who trained in leading restaurants including DiverXO, Mugaritz, Zortziko and Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine, and who have fulfilled their respective dreams here. In keeping with the name (“recreo” is the Spanish for play or leisure), the two chefs were keen to create a space for socialising around the theme of gastronomic cuisine, hence their focus on fun tapas and innovative dishes perfect for sharing which delight guests thanks to their character, combinations of ingredients and flavour. The broccoli with kimchi and lime is a must!
