The Langham, Sydney
The Langham’s spacious bedrooms are decorated in an opulent Regency style, with polished mahogany furnishings and rich fabrics. The television, CD player, safe and minibar are all discreetly hidden away inside armoires and cabinets. Bathrooms are marble, of course, with separate shower and oversize bathtub and heated towel racks. Slippers are hidden away in the polished cedar wardrobe, as is an umbrella, as insurance against Sydney’s maritime climate.
The Kitchens on Kent restaurant features an unusually theatrical concept, with eight open kitchens serving a variety of multicultural cuisines. Contemporary Australian fare is on offer in the Globe Bar, a cedar-paneled club room furnished with velvet sofas and winged leather armchairs.
The hotel’s day spa offers a number of innovative treatments, making use of German BABOR products, and features among its sporting options a 20-meter heated pool and a gymnasium.
As for location, The Langham is just ten minutes’ walk from Circular Quay and the Harbour, within easy reach of the Opera House and the vibrant Wharf development, and a near-infinite variety of shops, restaurants, galleries and museums.
