Seikoro Ryokan

22 Rooms
Traditional Elegance & Quiet
Situated a short walk from Kyoto’s Kamo River, Seikoro Ryokan would be a fine choice for anyone new to the traditional Japanese style of lodging. Guests enjoy comfortable rooms with traditional tatami flooring and futon bedding which is whisked away in preparation for breakfasts (and later, dinners) served in-room, in the kaiseki style. Ten to fifteen Japanese courses, including broiled and raw fish, rice, pickles and soups, are served with exquisite attention to preparation and detail, bookending days spent visiting the rich cultural sites of Kyoto. Seikoro’s onsen, separated by gender, further imparts the heritage feel of Seikoro’s boutique accommodations, as does its historic architecture, soft lighting, and ikebana.
