The design is minimalist, as is the concept — salvaged and repurposed materials figure prominently in the interiors, in keeping with the environmentally sensitive brief, and the rooms are purposefully low-frills, catering to low-maintenance modern travelers (but including necessities like in-room mini-pantries and 50-inch televisions). The look is industrial-meets-rustic, and the atmosphere is light, bright, and clean.

SCP’s rooms can get away with being so minimal because the common spaces offer so much; SCP Commons is a co-working space where you’ll rub elbows with locals, and SCP Fit is a full-time athletic club offering classes to members — and you’ll be a member for the duration of your stay. A pool and a well-equipped gym are on hand for self-service athletes, and Provisions Market is a grocery and all-day restaurant and café.
