Château St Pierre de Serjac

D30 between Pouzolles and Magalas, Occitanie, France
44 Rooms
Traditional Elegance & Secluded
Château St Pierre de Serjac was occupied by its original owner’s family through 2011, and the family’s former bedrooms have been updated and turned into eight spacious suites. Charming older details remain, including marble fireplaces, hand-painted wallpaper, gilded mirrors, crystal chandeliers, and arched wooden doorways. All have a mix of antique furnishings and contemporary decor, king-sized beds, and Nespresso machines; higher-end suites have freestanding vintage tubs. Much larger in size — some sleep ten people — are self-catering apartments and cottages, each with a fully equipped kitchen, private terrace, and vineyard views. Many have private pools, open seasonally, and outdoor dining areas.

The main pool area, facing the château’s stately facade and rolling greenery, is striking, as is the Mediterranean-style spa. The property’s gardens are the source of fresh ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hotel's upscale dining room. But the experience that can’t be missed here is at the winery itself: on offer are yoga classes and picnics in the vineyard, wine and chocolate workshops, and cycling tours that take participants on some of the nearby routes used in the Tour de France.
