A classic Luberon farmhouse is promising raw material for an intimate and stylish boutique hotel. Le Mas Les Eydins is surrounded by picture-perfect Provençal landscapes, lavender and all. Hosts Alexandra and Christophe Bacquié aim to leave a personal stamp on every interaction, with an atmosphere that’s equal parts tranquil and friendly. The rooms in the farmhouse are splendid, as are the cottages, and the outdoor pool and pétanque courts are welcome additions. Most central to the experience, however, is the restaurant, where Christophe, an award-winning chef in his own right, serves his distinctive Mediterranean fare either privately on the terrace or at a communal table.

Room was so quiet and peaceful, we never heard any other guests - felt like we were there alone, but place was full. Alexandra was delightful and helpful. Gorgeous setting.
