MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
Cucina Urbana, like the other siblings in the Urban Kitchen Group family, is an amiable place that promises a good time. It’s casual, festive and draws regulars who flock here for their daily deals (Meatball Mondays are a favorite) and happy hour specials.
Snacks are also aplenty. One sniff and you know truffle fries are big, but there’s also chicken liver pâté and black garlic hummus with crusty bread. Ribeye carpaccio is thinly sliced and ruby red; grilled octopus tentacle with speck, cashews, lemon yogurt and salsa verde is another winner. Neapolitan-style pizza with herbed ricotta, chopped bacon, sliced dates and a drizzle of sweet balsamic balances sweet and savory. Family-style dishes are the real deal, serving three to four.
